THE WHOLE STORY

Honey Larochelle, a Canadian singer, songwriter, vocal arranger and vocal producer based in Hollywood, CA is a profoundly diverse vocal musician. In addition to recently touring as Brand New Heavies’ lead singer on several international tours, Honey has performed and collaborated with a multitude of artists, including Grammy-winning duo A Great Big World, Oscar-winning artist Jennifer Hudson, Joss Stone, Roberta Flack, Marcus Miller, Dr John, and UK soul legend, Omar.

A prolific songwriter and vocal producer, Honey has worked on recordings with everyone from Macy Gray and Allen Stone to Donny Osmond. A Great Big World released their hit single "Already Home" co-written by Larochelle, on Epic records.

Honey proficiently dances between genres and has owned the motto “authenticity before conformity”. On her latest EP, HIJACK, Honey blends her soulful melodies over productions by Primal Luxe,Frank Royal, Snareophobe and Luxe Laredo to move us through a palate of sounds that lean towards grime, trap, drum and bass, moombahton and even some RnB.

The almost banned (very suggestive) music video for the single Hijack was directed by Kyrian Bobeerian, the visionary behind the colorful performance group, “The Fungineers.” He is also the featured vocalist on the Bassnectar song “Kyrian Bee Bop.” The video takes us on a sensual adventure through a colorful naughty victorian style party. Think Marie Antoinette meets Alice in Wonderland.

Featured on California’s Lightning in a Bottle Festival, Symbiosis Gathering, and Bass Coast Music Fest in Canada, she is proud to join the Electric Forest family on the Hangar Stage for both weekends at the 2017 Electric Forest Festival .
